I Got A New Puss Puss!!

Before you start telling me to scrub my brain with Chlorox, strollers are called pousettes here i.e. pouse pouse in short (pronounced as puss puss, really!!!)
From not wanting a travel system and buying what we need when we need, we ended up with a travel system that can apparently last for the next 2 years at least.

On the brighter side, this puss puss does satisfy quite a few of our requirements,

  • Store brand, hence value for money and within our budget
  • Light enough for me to carry
  • Simple to fold and open
  • Fits in the car
Some nice to have but not necessary requirements,
  • Comes with a car seat, so no need to buy another one
  • Comes with a bassinet so baby can sleep and be moved around in the apartment even
  • 3 years warranty, brands like Chicco only comes with a year of warranty

The complete puss puss without the car seat and bassinet.
  • For babies older than 9 months
  • The back incline has 3 adjustable positions
  • 5 point adjustable harness
  • Has storage space at the bottom
  • A window on the top to check on the baby
  • Can fit a stroller umbrella
  • Mint green colour
* Ahem, I bought a matching baby bag for mommies :)

The car seat and the bassinet.
  • Bassinet and car seat can be inserted into the stroller. Just insert, click and secure.
  • For newborns up to 9 months
  • Comes with covers (as you can see from the pictures) for wintery days
  •  5 point adjustable harness
  • Both bassinet and car seat can be used in the car. Car seat takes up one space. Bassinet takes up one space and the center seat.
  • Bassinet and car seat can be used independently.
  • Mint green colour

Story of the Dai Pao

A couple (or maybe more) of months ago, I received 2 dai paos from some well meaning people at work. Before I continue further, you need to understand that simple things like a dai pao which I took for granted before has became an item fit for the altar since I arrived in 80s-land.

Excitedly, I took the precious dai paos home and put them safely in my fridge. I could hardly wait for the weekend when I would savour every morsel of it. And to my delight, the weekend arrived in no time...
* evil drow jumps out of bed on Saturday morning... *
evil drow: It's breakfast time!!! Let's go eat dai pao!!!
* evil drow half runs to the kitchen, removes the dai paos from the fridge and carefully sets up the steamer... 15 minutes later, the dai paos are prefectly steamed and ready to be eaten... *
evil drow: Breakfast is ready! Hurry before it gets cold!
* evil saint ambles into the kitchen and sits down at his breakfast... *
* evil drow cuts her dai pao in half with her fork in excitement... *
evil drow: Wah!! So cheap!!! Only one small slice of egg!! Mushroom also dun have! Cheh!
evil saint: But taste is ok...but a lot of pao... mass production product, cannot expect too much...
evil drow: True... but so expensive and nothing inside... lucky got for free...
evil saint: Next time try to make yourself then you can put anything you want inside...
evil drow: See how la...
* And so evil drow grumpily finishes her breakfast in disappointment and cleans up the dishes... *
* Fast forward to last weekend...*
evil drow: Look at my dai pao!!!! Pretty ot not!!! Woohoo! I made mantau with the left over dough as well!!
evil saint: Wah!!! Like the real thing!!!!
Not bad for a first timer, huh? It tasted pretty alright too... and yes, it is stuffed!!!

Santa and Rudolf Came Early Again This Year

Look who got an Actifry last weekend for Christmas :D Goodbye grease and hello calorie reduction!

You know you've lost your mojo when receiving a kitchen utensil/machine gives you the same excitement as receiving a Gucci bag.

This tiger has been domesticated and aunty-fied.

Popcorn @ 16 Weeks

Popcorn's first kick caught on camera... and so the debate begins....

Is that a Chinese kungfu or more of an EspaƱol footballer's kick? Hmmm...

Popcorn @ 12 Weeks

Popcorn's first photos.

It was a strange feeling indeed as one tries to grasp the idea of a growing being in one's womb...
